The Poetry competition, Hopes and Dreams
We would like you to think about what really matters to you and what are your hopes and dreams, short or long-term.
We aim to produce an anthology of around 200 winning entries with prizes going to the top three entries. The anthology will be available for sale on the day of the festival. All profits will go towards keeping the literature festival free.
Although the anthology will be called Hopes and Dreams, please choose an original title for your poem. You can write in any poetry style, showing your imagination and technical writing ability.
Maximum two entries per person will be accepted.
First name and surname should be clearly written on your entry
Deadline: all entries must be received by February 15th 2019
We reserve the right to cancel the competition if there aren’t enough entries. All entrants will be required to sign a transfer of copyright form and there will not be any payment for poems published in the anthology.
Please email entries to firstname.lastname@example.org
1st Prize £30 book voucher
2nd Prize £20 book voucher
3rd Prize £10 book voucher
Winners will be invited to read their poem (or have it read on their behalf) at the Oakwood Literature Festival on 18th May 2019.
We are really excited about this new venture and wish everyone entering the best of luck.
