
Rae was born in South Africa in the 1960s and came to England in 1987. Inspired by her maternal grandfather, she’s been writing since the age of 12. Rae teaches English at a local charity, Young Women’s Hub and runs after school clubs in creative writing.
Her published works includes poetry in Prole, fantasy for children, science fiction for young adults and magic realism for adults. As a writer of hybrid fiction Rae hopes to inspire other authors who can’t shoe-horn themselves into narrow parameters to navigate their way through the self-publishing process.
Rae’s debut novel, Six Dead Men, started out as a 15,000 word, short story. Whilst editing it and contacting agents and publishers an opportunity arose to publish an eBook. Rae took her first steps into the world of self-publishing and has never looked back.

Her recently published seventh book, The Robert Deed Collection,houses 3 books related to the psychic detective from Six Dead Men. She’s currently working on a sequel to The Lonely Dragon,a book in the voice of a witch’s cat, and a collaborative poetry project – ZooNation
